Over the centuries, society has taken our Earth for granted. Global warming is no longer a threat, it is a reality. Niko is commited to continuously reduce the carbon footprint through ethical harvest of organic products that respect the environment and fellow creatures and by giving back to the earth by means of eco friendly manufacturing, reusing packaging, environment friendly marketing and recycling programs.
Product Packaging Program:
Niko only uses fully recyclable packaging in our USDA Certified Organic line.
Aluminum recycling program: Recycled aluminum reduces pollution by 95%. Approximately 4 lbs of bauxite is saved for every pound of aluminum that is recycled. Recycled aluminum saves 95% energy versus pristine aluminum. Enough aluminum is thrown away to rebuild the U.S. commercial air fleet 4 times every year.
PET plastic bottle: Recycled PET plastic saves approximately 12,000 BTU. PET is the only 100% recyclable plastic. Niko is now working on a new vegetable plastic made by using the resin of corn. This new plastic will produce no extra carbon dioxide when burned.
Green Work Ethics:
Niko is continuously looking for innovative ways to save the life of a tree and lower the carbon footprint.
Niko Cosmetic uses only recycled paper in our offices, labels and boxes. Recycled paper saves 60% energy, versus pristine paper. Niko Labels are also made from recycled paper and printed with environment friendly, non-toxic Veggie Inks.
Packing chips are made from corn that dissolves with water.
Shipping boxes are made of reclaimed paper and are used more than once. Niko does not brand print on the outside of packaging boxes.
Only re-usable biodegradable shopping bags are used. No paper bags.
Niko does not believe in paper catalogues. Electronic catalogues (eCatalogue) replace paper based catalogues that ultimately end up in the trash.
Recycled paper generates 95% less air pollution. For every ton of paper that is recycled, the world saves 17 trees. Every year enough paper is thrown away to make a 12 ft. wall from New York to California.

Green Shipping:
Niko Cosmetics uses a "Clean Trucks Program" designed to reduce air pollution from trucks by more than 80 percent. Using Alternative Fuels: Biofuels, especially ethanol derived from food crops such as corn and soy are nontoxic and biodegradable. Niko constantly monitors ongoing research and development on alternative fuels and their environmental impact. The shipping department enforces a strict anti‐idling policy at its loading dock. Idling is a major source of shipping‐related carbon emissions. Idling engines use between one half and one gallon of fuel per hour. Each gallon of conventional diesel emits 22 lbs of CO2.
Green Production:
Niko Cosmetics refuses to use large machinery that consume fossil fuels and increase pollutants to our environment. Crops are organically nurtured and hand harvested. Niko's manufacturing is handmade, handpicked and hand packed. Helping to reduce our carbon footprint and create jobs.
Cruelty Free:
Niko has never tested, nor will ever test on animals.
Local Manufacturing:
Commitment to manufacturing locally is very important to Niko Cosmetics. North America is the bulk of Niko's business, therefore; shipping fulfilment to the consumer uses far less fossil fuels than products manufactured in distant continents and then imported to North America for distribution to the consumer. Also by removing the water content from the Organic Cleansers, Masks and Exfoliant, reduces the product weight, therefore reducing shipping carbons emissions and, as added benefit, reduces the cost to the consumer.
Save The Kakadu Bush:
The natural bush in Northern Australia is in serious trouble. Home of the aboriginals, countless wild life species, rare exotic plant life and the Kakadu Plum. Unfortunately commercialization and big business is threatening to destroy the natural bush that has survived for millions of year. Help in the quest to save these beautiful untouched lands of northern Australia and save the pure life styles of the aboriginals, the plants and the animals.
